Except the path\nleading to it is a checkerboard, three mushrooms have gone plum,\nand something white is diving into the roots.\n\nBelow: a pocket-sized bottle, tag attached, contents plum-dark.\nYou know what it says. The Huntress — Artemis, Greek Myth\n\n**GODDESS OF THE WILD.**\nThe oldest story on this shelf that was never written down first.\n\nFront: a Greek recurve bow, arrow nocked and pointing up, crescent\nmoon resting on its tip — the huntress aims at the moon. Back:\nArtemis drawing her bow beside a great stag on Mount Cynthus, hound\nwaiting below. In this series, literature gets a star; myth gets a\ncrescent.
