The catcher in the rye

In 1951 J. D. Salinger sent Holden Caulfield wandering through New York over a few restless winter days — a teenager allergic to everything he calls phony, grieving in ways he can’t name, clinging to a red hunting hat he wears backwards like armour. His one gentle wish: to stand at the edge of a field and catch children before they fall.

This design keeps only that hat and the title in gothic letters — the red hunting cap embroidered small at the chest — on heavyweight navy fleece.

The emblem sits at the left chest as raised embroidery — the title in purple gothic letters over a red hunting cap in gold-flecked thread, small and quiet against the navy fleece until it catches the light.

Care

Machine wash cold, inside out, with like colours. Tumble dry low or hang to dry. Do not iron directly over the embroidery. Reshape while damp and avoid wringing to keep the fleece soft.
