Chapter I

The Story

1901. The first American motorcycles were little more than a heavy-duty bicycle with an engine bolted into the frame — belt-driven, single-cylinder, and built by hand. Crude and thrilling in equal measure, these early machines set the whole American motorcycle story in motion. This design celebrates that beginning in the spirit of a vintage archive print.

The chest wears a hexagon wordmark; the back carries the full graphic — a detailed early motorcycle with the year printed like a page from an archive.

Chapter II

Front & Back

Front — A hexagon “DELAFORME” wordmark on the left chest.

Back — A large print across the back: a detailed early motorcycle under an arched “America’s Early Machines”, with a bold red “1901” and “Archive Edition Nº 002 · De La Forme”.

Both prints applied with DTF (direct-to-film) transfer — crisp detail, rich color, and a flexible print that moves with the fabric.

Chapter III

Fabric & Fit

Solids: 100% cotton at 6 oz (200 gsm) — substantial, structured, and softer with every wash.

Cut in a relaxed, oversized fit with a ribbed crewneck and drop shoulders. Ecru / natural.

Appendix B

Care

• Machine wash cold, inside out, with like colors
• Do not bleach · do not iron directly on the print or embroidery
• Tumble dry low or hang dry
• Washing inside out keeps the golden print and stitching crisp
