Don Quixote — Crewneck

Cervantes’ knight who charged at windmills. (La Mancha, 1605)

The Design Story

Tilting at windmills

In 1605 Cervantes gave the world Don Quixote — an ageing gentleman of La Mancha who read so many tales of chivalry that he rode out as a knight-errant, mistaking windmills for giants and roadside inns for castles. Absurd, gallant and heartbreaking, he chased an ideal the world had long stopped believing in.

This design renders him as he saw himself — lance raised, astride his faithful horse, La Mancha · 1605 set beneath — embroidered in blue and red on heavyweight navy fleece.
