The perfume of memory

Of all the senses, smell reaches memory most directly. A single note can return an entire summer, a person, a room you thought long forgotten — the French call it l’odeur du souvenir, the scent of memory. It is why we keep perfume long after it is empty.

This design gives that feeling a shape — a flacon of Le Parfum du Souvenir uncorked, its scent rising into roses and drifting petals — printed like a page torn from a keepsake.

The chest wears the De La Forme circular emblem in burgundy; the back carries the full archive plate — the flacon, the rising scent, and the roses of memory — printed to sit quietly against the pigment-dyed ground.

Care

Keeping the wash

Machine wash cold, inside out, with like colours. Tumble dry low or hang to dry. Do not iron directly over the print. Because the fabric is pigment dyed, a gentle, gradual fade is part of the design — it will keep looking better the more you wear it.
