A graphic tee inspired by the original eau de cologne — the "miracle water" of 1709.

The Design Story
The water they called a miracle
In 1709, in the German city of Cologne, a perfumer bottled a fresh blend of bergamot, lemon and orange blossom and called it Aqua Mirabilis — miracle water. He said one drop reminded him of an Italian spring morning after rain. The world came to know it simply as eau de cologne.
This design frames that first flacon — the faceted Aqua Mirabilis bottle wreathed in citrus and neroli blossom — printed like a plate lifted from an old apothecary’s ledger.

The Print
Front & back
Plate I · Front chest — DLF circular emblem
Plate II · Full back — Eau de Cologne, 1709
The chest wears the De La Forme circular emblem in blue; the back carries the full archive plate — the cologne flacon, the citrus, and the year 1709 — printed to sit quietly against the pigment-dyed ground.

Care
Keeping the wash
Machine wash cold, inside out, with like colours. Tumble dry low or hang to dry. Do not iron directly over the print. Because the fabric is pigment dyed, a gentle, gradual fade is part of the design — it will keep looking better the more you wear it.
