Chapter I
The Story
1903. There were no roads yet — just wagon tracks, riverbeds, and open country. That year the first automobile crossed the United States from San Francisco to New York, a journey of sixty-three days made by two men and a dog in an open car. When the trip began, the automobile was a curiosity; when it ended, the road had become freedom. This design celebrates that crossing in the spirit of a vintage archive plate.
The chest wears a ribbon badge; the back carries the full graphic — the car crossing open country at sunset, with the route and the story printed like a page from an archive.
